About Petunia
Petunia got abandoned when her owners moved. She ended up on the street where she spent about a year. We initially got contacted because she was in heat and having a very hard time with the neighbourhood dogs. She’s since been spayed, and is now ready to find a forever home.
Petunia is a very funny dog. She is one of the sweetest and “easiest” dogs we’ve ever had, and simultaneously a dog that knows what she likes (and what she does not). She thrives with a routine — she likes some light walks (nothing too strenuous), some snacks, and lots of cuddles. She loves to curl up next to her human, in the corner of the couch. She loves people and she’s slowly making lots of new doggy friends. Initially when she got rescued, she was scared of other dogs, but she’s been slowly coming out of her shell.
Petunia is not a dog that particularly appreciates new adventures. She doesn’t love exercise apart from some reasonable walks. She tolerates car rides but doesn’t love them. She’s a homebody that really just wants to curl up on a comfortable bed and watch TV with her human. She’s perfectly mannered — does not make a mess. She’s a perpetually happy, tail-wagging, smiley gal. Her demeanour is very calm, affectionate, and happy-go-lucky.
